ForgeScan
FORGESCAN · iOS · BARCODE LABEL MAKER + SCANNER

Scan anything.
Forge your own.

The barcode toolchain for people who sell things: a scanner that reads what others can't, a document press for IDs and paperwork, and a label studio that turns spreadsheets into print-perfect sheets. All of it on the phone in your pocket. None of it in anyone's cloud.

The toolset

Six tools between “what is this product?” and “print 300 labels for it.”

READLive

Live Scanner

Point the camera and it reads: QR, UPC/EAN, Code 128/39/93, PDF417, Aztec, DataMatrix, ITF and more, continuously, with flashlight, pinch-zoom and haptic confirmation. Every scan lands in a searchable history.

READRecover

Advanced Recovery

Eleven enhancement passes for codes other apps abandon: contrast stretching, adaptive thresholding, inversion, upscaling, de-noising, and a dedicated fix for barcodes photographed off screens, where LCD moiré defeats ordinary scanners.

CAPTUREPress

Document & ID Scanner

Flatbed-quality pages from a handheld phone: automatic edge detection, perspective correction, and a quality gate that rejects pages still tilted beyond 3°. ID mode captures front and back, trims to the exact card edge, and composes both on one sheet. Never watermarked.

CREATEOne

Code Generator

Styled QR with your logo and colors; Wi-Fi join codes, email, SMS, phone. A digital business card that saves straight into the scanner's contacts, with saved cards and a full field-level change history. Code 128, Code 39, Aztec and PDF417 included, free.

CREATESheets

Label Studio

The seller's tool. Import a CSV from Shopify, Square, Etsy or Amazon and the columns map themselves. Output is vector UPC-A and EAN-13 with verified check digits, laid onto Avery®-compatible sheets, A4 layouts, or thermal rolls at exact geometry. FNSKU, price-tag and expiration presets; printer calibration; reusable saved setups.

CREATEBatch

Bulk Generator

One to five hundred codes from a sequence formula, a pasted list, or a CSV column, with styling applied batch-wide. Export as printable PDF grids, as CSV for re-import, or as one PNG per code for packaging and design work.

The output

This sheet came out of a phone.

A 30-label sheet of product labels with EAN-13 barcodes, names and prices, generated by ForgeScan
The point of view

Built against the grain of its category.

Scanner apps watermark your documents. QR platforms rent you your own codes back. Label tools live on desktops and subscriptions. ForgeScan is the counterexample.

Your codes work forever

Every code is a static file. No server is involved, so nothing can expire. Some QR platforms disable printed codes the day a trial lapses; this architecture cannot.

Pay once. That is the whole model.

One fair unlock instead of the category's $200-a-year subscriptions. The free tier is genuinely useful, not a demo.

Private by architecture

No account, no analytics, no cloud, no AI. ID scans never leave the device. App Store privacy label: “Data Not Collected.”

Retail-true barcodes

Vector-sharp UPC-A and EAN-13 with computed check digits and human-readable numerals. Print-house output, not a screenshot of one.

Prints that line up

Exact template geometry plus a calibration page and per-printer nudge: the cure for the crooked label sheet every seller has thrown away.

Reads the unreadable

Damaged labels, dark warehouse shots, codes on a monitor across a video call. The recovery engine decodes what point-and-hope scanners cannot.

Questions people actually search

Asked and answered.

Can I print Amazon FNSKU labels from my iPhone?

Yes. Label Studio has an Amazon FNSKU preset: paste or import your FNSKUs, and it produces compliant Code 128 item labels with the product title and condition, laid out for 30-per-page label sheets or 2×1 inch thermal rolls. No desktop, no browser extension, no monthly fee.

Can I make barcode labels from a CSV or spreadsheet?

Yes. Import an export from Shopify, Square, Etsy, Amazon, or any spreadsheet; the columns for barcode, title, price, and quantity map automatically. The output is a print-ready PDF at exact label-sheet geometry.

Do the QR codes expire or need a subscription?

Never. Every code is a static image that encodes only what you typed. There is no server behind it, so nothing can expire, be tracked, or be turned off — unlike hosted “dynamic” QR platforms.

Why do my label sheets print misaligned, and does this fix it?

Misalignment usually comes from hidden “fit to page” scaling and imprecise templates. ForgeScan renders exact template geometry, ships a calibration test page, and remembers a per-printer nudge — print at 100% and the labels land on the stickers.

Can it scan a barcode from a photo of a screen?

Yes. The recovery engine includes passes designed for photos of monitors and phone screens, where moiré interference defeats ordinary scanners, plus passes for blurry, dark, and damaged codes.

Can I copy both sides of my ID onto one page?

Yes. ID mode captures the front and back separately, trims each to the exact card edge, and composes both on a single sheet, like a photocopier — processed entirely on your device and never watermarked.

Is it really one price? What does free include?

Free includes unlimited scanning, unlimited document and ID scanning, every code generator, batches up to 50 codes, and one full 30-label sheet per export. Pro is a single $19.99 purchase that removes the volume limits — there is no subscription.
